EW Test Signal Generation with the SMW200A Overview

This presentation will provide an overview of the RADAR/Electronic Warfare test signal generation capabilities of the Rohde & Schwarz SMW200A. The overview will highligh the RF specifications, the PDW streaming capabilities, and the multi-port test system architecture consisting of multiple SMW200As.

>>>

1. Pulse Sequencer - Basic

This video will provide a demonstration of the fundamental functionality R&S Pulse Sequencer sotware. The demo will show the creation of a basic pulse sequence with a dedicated pulse width and pulse repetition interval.

>>>

2. Pulse Sequencer - Emitter Definition

This demonstration will show how to create a definition of an emitter with a dedicated pulse sequence, antenna pattern, and antenna scan.

>>>

3. Pulse Sequencer Moving Emitters

This demonstration will show how to place moving emitters into a simulated environment in pulse sequencer. Multiple SMW200A basebands will be utilized to show how multiple emitters can be created without pulse dropping/prioritization.

>>>

4. RF Port Alignment

This demonstration will show how to align multiple RF ports in phase, amplitude, and time across multiple RF ports. This ensures accurate angle-of-arrival emulation at the receiver input ports.

>>>

5. Pulse Sequencer Multi-Port Scenario

This video will provide a demonstration of a multi-port receiver scenario with multiple emitters in an environment. The RF port alignment from the previous demonstration will be deployed to ensure accurate AoA.

>>>

6. PDW Streaming Basic

This demonstration will show how to stream PDWs to an SMW200A baseband. The demo will use MATLAB to stream PDWs from a basic table to the PDW interface.

>>>

7. PDW Streaming Advanced

This video will provide a demonstration will show how to stream PDWs in a real-time control loop to emulate multiple emitters. The project will utilize a Raspberry Pi controller to interleave and stream PDWs to multipple basebands.

>>>

PDW Streaming Advanced - Cross Platform App

This video will demonstrate another PDW streaming application meant to easily download on a PC running either Linux or Windows.
